Submission (Rear-Naked Choke)
TKO (Punches)
These guys traded some hard kicks, and then Umar caught a kick one minute into the round and took Subba to the ground, landing in side control. Subba scrambled out of that and threw Umar to the ground, landing in an awkward side control, where one leg was still tied up in an awkward position. They continued to wrestle around, with Umar cranking Subba's legs in all sorts of awkward positions, making it look like he was going to rip his leg off at the knee. Subba unloaded some big punches & elbows to try to avoid the leg locks, he stood up, and Umar continued to wrap himself around the legs of Subba, looking for more submissions. Subba continued to pound on Umar from inside a wild looking guard, and Umar never stopped looking for submissions. Pretty crazy round, but I scored it in favor of Subba based on the ground & pound. OH WAIT, Umar tapped out at the end of the round, due to getting hit too hard. Really nice first round finish for Keanu Subba.
Ang is making his pro MMA debut here, against a guy that I've never seen win a fight. They both traded some heavy punches & wild kicks to start the first round. Ang slipped with a weird low kick attempt, and Umar pounced on him, allowing Ang to show off some of his defense on the ground. Ang stood up without too much trouble, and slammed Umar back to the ground, landing in side control. Ang stood up, landed some wild strikes from the sky, and then jumped into Umar's guard, and continued to pound on him on the ground. They stood up, traded some heavy punches, and then Ang took Umar back to the ground again. Ang beat him up on the ground until the end of the round. Round one clearly goes to Benedict Ang.
The second round started with both guys trading some heavy kicks, and then Ang shot for a takedown, tripping Umar to the ground 30 seconds into the round. Ang controlled him on the ground for half the round, but didn't do a lot of damage, so the referee stood them up. Ang then threw a brutal kick to the dick that caused Umar to collapse in pain. When the fight started back up, they continued to trade punches & kicks at a decent pace for a while. Ang scored another takedown with a minute left in the round, and landed some basic ground & pound before the round ended. I have Ang ahead, 2-0, going into the final round.
These guys traded some wild kicks to start the final round, and then clinched a minute into the round. Umar hopped up for a desperate guillotine attempt, but that went nowhere, so Ang continued to press him against the fence. They split up halfway through the round, and then Umar slammed Ang to the ground, but he immediately fell into a triangle choke attempt, so he stood back up to avoid the submission. The referee had Ang stand back up, they hopped around for a few seconds, and then Ang slammed the shit out of Umar, landing in side control, where he unloaded with some big elbows to finish out the round. Easy 30-27 decision for Benedict Ang in his Pro MMA debut.
KO (Elbows)
These guys clinched early, and Khan pressed Umar against the fence to start the fight. They split up, and Khan threw some jabs, while Umar circled around the outside. Around the 90 second mark, Khan exploded with a knee to the body, followed by some brutal elbows, that knocked Umar the fuck out. Another fantastic first round finish for Amir Khan (not the boxer).
TKO (Elbows)
These guys traded a few random strikes, Davis shot for a takedown 90 seconds into the first round, and Umar locked on a guillotine choke, and held on for a little while. Umar's arm eventually gave out on him, so he had to let go of the choke, at which point, Davis took him to the ground, landing in half mount in the center of the cage. Davis dropped some heavy elbows, putting all of his bodyweight behind them, but he bounced a little too much, which allowed Umar to sweep him with 2 minutes left in the round, as Umar immediately grabbed full mount. Umar fell back for an armbar attempt, but Davis fought his way through it, there was an awkward scramble with Davis on top. He mostly just smothered Umar, but he landed a few solid elbows, before passing to full mount. Umar then gave up his back, and then slid out the back door, they traded some wild punches on the feet, they both looked rocked, and then the round ended. Round one goes to Davis, but it was a competitive round.
The second round started with a few clunky strikes going both ways, and then Davis scored a takedown a minute into the round, landing in full mount near the fence. Umar just held on for dear life, while Davis tried to posture up. 3 minutes into the round, Davis finally sat up, unloaded some sharp elbows, while holding Umar's arm behind his own head, which forced Umar to tapout with his free hand due to strikes. Nice win for Peter Davis.
