Technical Submission (Rear-Naked Choke)
14:23
The first round started with both guys boxing with each other. They both landed some solid counter punches, neither fighter really wanted to come forward, but they were both staying fairly active with their striking. GSP scored a takedown with a minute left in the first round, but Bisping was able to work his way back to his feet. Bisping looked a big wobbled by the end of the round, but he was able to survive until the end of the round. Round one clearly goes to GSP, who looks huge after taking 4 years off.
The second round started with 3 minutes of boxing, with both guys landing some big shots, they traded some leg kicks, and then GSP score a takedown, landing in half mount, but Bisping did a fantastic job working his way back to his feet before GSP could do anything on the ground. GSP was clearly slowing down, and Bisping spent the rest of the round picking apart GSP on the feet. I'm giving that round to Bisping. Bisping's cup broke and fell out in that round, so they had to swap it out with something in between rounds.
GSP started the third round by immediately shooting for a takedown. Bisping blasted him with some elbows from his guard, chopping up GSP's face, causing some blood to flow. GSP was mostly just laying on him, trying to land short punches, meanwhile, Bisping left GSP's face looking like it had been chopped up by a carving knife. Bisping worked his way back to his feet halfway through the round. GSP dropped Bisping with a punch with a minute left in the round, and unloaded with some brutal elbows on the ground, nearly finishing Bisping with ground & pound, Bisping did a good job defending, and then GSP took his back, slapped on a rear-naked choke, and put Bisping to sleep. That was a fantastic win for GSP, as he becomes the new UFC Middleweight Champion.

Wow... That was the wildest bullshit decision I've ever seen. I'm not even going to try to break down this 25 minute fight into a play by play, it was FULL of action, and both guys looked pretty awesome. With that being said, Hendricks won the first round, he won the second round, St. Pierre won the third round, Hendricks won the fourth round, and GSP MAYBE won the fifth round, but it was close. So, in my book, and seemingly everyone else's book as well, that means Johny Hendricks is the new champion, eh? NOPE, SOMEHOW TWO FUCKING IDIOT ASS MOTHERFUCKING JUDGES, gave the fight to GSP. I quit, I'm out of here, this decision was fucking GARBAGE... And to make matters worse? GSP FUCKING RETIRED AFTER THE FIGHT!?! SAY WHAT!?! WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT BULLSHIT!?! If that's not running from a rematch, I don't know what the fuck is... Johny Hendricks deserves that fucking belt... I'm going to mark both of these guys down for wins, because GSP technically won, but there is NO FUCKING WAY I'm going to break the Hendricks Winning Streak, with THIS bullshit.

Well, sort of in Chael Sonnen fashion, Nick Diaz (even though I had him ranked at #48), somehow trash talked his way into a title fight. GSP pretty much handed him his ass all 5 rounds, by constantly taking him to the ground, and controlling him for the entire fight. Nick Diaz just never tried to do any damage, all he did was talk shit the entire time. So yeah, Diaz had no business being here, and GSP disappointed me, by letting the fight go to ANOTHER 25 minute decision. GSP is still top dog at 170 though... PLEASE FIGHT JOHNNY HENDRICKS NOW!!!

GSP is back! He completely dominated Condit with his wrestling & striking, he took Condit to school, and pretty much destroyed him. I was SO NERVOUS though, especially in the third round, where Condit kicked him in the head and almost knocked him out, and then followed it up with some serious ground & pound. Personally, I gave the fight 49-46 to GSP, and all 3 judges gave the fight to GSP as well, so BAM! He's back, and STILL the UFC Welterweight Champion!

Well, GSP goes another 25 minutes with a guy he probably should have been able to finish. He got hurt in the 2nd round (I think he got poked in the eye while trying to take Shields to the ground, but nobody mentioned that during the broadcast), and he wasn't able to see out of his left eye at all for the last 3 rounds of the fight. In the end, I gave 3 rounds to GSP, and the last two rounds to Shields, and it was mostly just a long drawn out, somewhat boring, boxing match. Congrats to GSP for retaining his title, but I'm starting to lose interest in his fights at this point (especially since I've NEVER been interested in watching Jake Shields fight).

You're not going to believe this, but... GSP just beat the shit out of Josh Koscheck, I KNOW, RIGHT!?! SUCH A SURPRISE! But yeah, this fight was basically just GSP moving around the octagon, and throwing a left jab, and Josh Koscheck's right eye turning into a plum. GSP clearly won all 5 rounds, there is no disputing that, and Koscheck was mature about the defeat. Good fight overall, but as usual, I would have liked to see a finish.

This was a 25 minute title fight, and I don't really have a lot of play by play to comment on. GSP basically took Hardy down 90 times in all 5 rounds, he locked on 100 different armlocks, and Hardy refused to tap, it was ridiculous. But yeah, Hardy didn't have a chance, but he put up a hell of a fight, in terms of absorbing GSP's grappling dominance. GSP is insane at 170 though.

I normally don't get all that pumped about 25 minute fights that go the distance, but this was pretty much a clinic. GSP took Alves down with probably 100 or so takedowns in this fight, completely dominating him on the ground all 5 rounds. On the feet, it was a pretty even matchup, but GSP didn't allow it to stay there very long. In the end, GSP fought like a legend, and Alves fought like a guy that was outclassed. Excellent championship fight overall.

This was one of the most important fights in GSP's career, and it turned out well for him. BJ Penn moved up from 155 to challenge GSP for the welterweight title, in an attempt to become the first fighter to ever hold 2 UFC titles in 2 different weight classes, at the same time. GSP pretty much schooled him by taking him down at will, out-boxing him, controlling him on the ground, and completely exhausting BJ Penn. After the 4th round, they went to their corners, and BJ Penn's brother told the doctor to stop the fight (for some reason). In the end, BJ Penn wasn't looking good at all after round 2, so it was probably a good idea to stop the fight. Georges St. Pierre is the fuckin' MAN!

This was a really great fight, but after a 5 round war, looking back on it, I have to admit I lost interest near the end of round 4... Georges St. Pierre basically dominated Jon Fitch during the entire fight, winning every round, taking him down at will, beating him up on the ground, beating him up while standing, etc... It was a really great fight, both guys left it all in the octagon, but Jon Fitch clearly wasn't quite up to the task of taking out GSP. Good fight overall, but I would have liked to see it finish in the 3rd or 4th round. With that being said, unlike Brock Lesnar, both of these guys are EXTREMELY classy, and showed great sportsmanship after the fight was over. Good show overall.

TKO (Knees to the Body)
9:45
Well, the first time they fought, Matt Serra was the 10-1 underdog, and nobody gave him a shot... He pretty much DESTROYED GSP during the first fight, which was a CRAZY upset... This time around, Matt Serra was still the underdog, but I decided to pick him before the fight... Well, like the Franklin-Lutter fight, I failed... Georges St. Pierre pretty much killed Matt Serra during this fight... He took him down multiple times without any trouble at all... Serra's guard was pretty solid while on the ground, and he had pretty good defense overall on the ground, but I don't think that Serra even attempted any offensive moves in this fight... When the fight went to the feet, it looked somewhat even, but GSP dominated on the ground, and eventually forced Serra into the turtle position, and St. Pierre threw a series of hard knees on the ground to the ribs of Serra, which forced the referee to stop the fight... I think that's the first time I've ever seen a referee stop a fight due to shots to the body, but I can't really complain since Serra wasn't putting up any real fight at all... Solid fight I guess... GSP is the new Welterweight Champion (again)...

Aw hellz yeah! GSP is back, and he put a hurtin' on the farmboy, Matt Hughes... In their last fight, Georges St. Pierre showed that his striking game was 1,000x's better than the striking of Hughes, by knocking him the fuck out... In this fight, GSP took down the wrestler (Hughes), multiple times, he threw him around showing off some solid Judo skills, and he eventually submitted Hughes near the end of the second round, via a BAD ASS brutal looking armbar... GREAT fight, GSP is the man, and hopefully he'll get his shot against Matt Serra in the near future... As for Hughes, I can't imagine he'll be fighting much after this one... He looks like he's ready to retire, so we'll see what happens with that...

Man, I can't believe that I predicted against Georges St. Pierre... GSP is one of my favorite fighters, and I really dislike Koscheck, so I WANTED GSP to win, but I just had a bad feeling about this one... Luckily for me, GSP is my hero, and any concerns that I might have had, were washed away when GSP dominated Koscheck's wrestling skills... GSP showed superior striking, wrestling & submission skills, leading to a unanimous decision after 3 rounds of working over Koscheck... Good show by GSP, and I'd like to see him maybe have one more fight before going for the belt again... As for Koscheck, I don't really care what they do with him...

TKO (Punches)

This fight started with hell freezing over... Pigs started flying over the octagon, Georges St. Pierre threw a couple of week strikes, and then it was all over from there... Matt Serra absolutely dominated GSP, by punching him in the head repeatedly until GSP eventually crumbled to the ground... Serra jumped on him, and then continued to pound away on the head of GSP until eventually the referee had to stop the fight... Matt Serra beats the living shit out of GSP in the first round, by TKO... And hell is still frozen...

TKO (Head Kick & Punches)
6:25
This fight was fucking WONDERFUL!!! Heh... The first round consisted of GSP kicking Hughes in the balls twice, and then beating him up while standing for the entire first round... Matt Hughes tried to takedown GSP once during the first round, and GSP completely overpowered Hughes... Then, GSP threw a superman punch hitting Hughes in the face, and then GSP followed up by taking Hughes to the ground, pounding away at him, almost knocking him out, but Hughes was saved by the bell... GREAT first round...
The second round consisted of about a minute of dancing around, and then GSP threw a Cro-Cop style kick to the head of Hughes, knocking him to the ground, and then GSP jumped on top of Hughes, completely destroying him with punches & elbows, until Big John McCarthy (referee) had to stop the fight, because Hughes could no longer defend himself... I FUCKING KNEW that GSP would be the next Welterweight Champion... FUCK YES! WAR GSP!!! Great fight, and congratulations to GSP, in my opinion, the BEST 170 pound fighter in the world...

This fight almost made me sick, because it went to decision... I wanted SO BADLY for Georges St. Pierre to win this fight, and actually finish BJ Penn, and then I was hoping that Penn would hand over his title to Pierre... BUT... Instead, the fight went the distance, all three rounds, and then Pierre won by SPLIT decision... So there really wasn't a clear winner in this fight, and that makes my stomach upset... BJ Penn showed some GREAT defense, but in my opinion, he never really tried to finish the fight until the last 20 seconds, where he almost locked on some weird submissions, but ended up with nothing... The biggest problem was that Penn broke Pierre's nose during the first round, and ALSO poked him in the eye, cutting his eye open... So the fact that GSP came back from the first round with a broken nose and a BAD swollen eye, really shows how much heart GSP has, and I really think he deserves the next title shot against Matt Hughes... As for BJ Penn, I think he's a cocky ass hole, and I'd rather not see him get any more big fights like this... Like I said, GREAT defense, and he obviously knows how to fight, but the only thing he did to damage Pierre was poke him in the fuckin' eye, and break his nose with a lucky uppercut... *shrugs*... GREAT fight, but I really wish that there would have been a definitive solution to the fight, instead of the SPLIT decision...

Sean Sherk has been one of my favorite fighters ever since I saw him beat the living shit out of Ryuki Ueyama in Pride FC back in 2004... He's a great fighter, that can pretty much do it all... Great wrestler, submission artist, striker, etc... The problem is, George St. Pierre is one of the baddest fighters in the UFC, and he has also become one of my all time favorite fighters... After completely dominating Sean Sherk, by taking him down with some spear like tackle moves, George St. Pierre broke Sherk's nose with an elbow, and then continued to bloody his face until the fight was stopped... George St. Pierre DESERVES to get the next title shot against Matt Hughes... That would be an amazing fight... St. Pierre seems to be absolutely unstoppable at the moment...

Submission (Rear-Naked Choke)

GSP completely dominated Frank Trigg during this fight, proving that he should be next in line for a Welterweight Title Shot... Trigg started the fight with some decent standup, but as soon as he tried to take St. Pierre to the ground, and got reversed, it was all over... The fight ALMOST lasted the entire first 5 minute round, but the entire round consisted of GSP taking Trigg to the ground, pounding on him, out-wrestling him, throwing a bunch of submissions at him, and just absolutely dominating him, until GSP finally locked on the rear-naked choke, forcing Trigg to submit... GSP wins by submission in the first round... After this fight, there's no questioning that GSP is my favorite welterweight fighter...

This entire fight was Georges St-Pierre on offense, beating the shit out of Jason Miller, with some average quality strikes, and some really solid submissions... BUT... Jason Miller without a doubt, has the best submission defense skills that I've ever seen... He slipped out of several submission attempts throughout the match, after the submissions were already locked on... Crazy shit... Jason Miller is insane, as far as defense is concerned, but he had no offensive skills whatsoever... St-Pierre won the match by unanimous decision...

Submission (Armbar)

This fight was pretty solid... Both guys are great grapplers, and great with submissions, so it was easy to predict that this would be a good fight on the ground... The fight started with GSP taking Hughes to the ground, but once they were down there, he couldn't really do much with Hughes... Then Hughes took St. Pierre to the ground a couple of times... Both guys tried a few submissions, but all attempts were escaped by both fighters... The only real solid strike the entire fight, was a bad ass spinning back kick by St. Pierre, which knocked the wind out of Hughes, but GSP didn't capitalize... Then Hughes took St. Pierre to the ground again, this time GSP tried to secure a Kimura, but Hughes reversed it at the last second of the fight, turning it into an armbar for the submission victory in the first round... Hughes was lucky that he went for it when he did, because up until that point, the fight was very even, and if he would have waited 2 more seconds, GSP would have been saved by the bell... Good fight... Hughes becomes the NEW Welterweight Champion (after losing it to BJ Penn, who then left the UFC, vacating the belt, etc...)

This fight was awesome, because GSP is awesome... Georges St. Pierre came out standing for a bit, then tried to take down Jay Hieron, but wasn't successful... Then, after some more standing, GSP said "Fuck all this shit man" and beat the living shit out of Jay Hieron, ending it in round one with a flurry of punches while standing, knocking out Hieron, and then he followed it up with some ground & pound, before the referee eventually stopped the fight... Georges St. Pierre wins by KO/TKO in the first round...

This was definitely the best fight of the night so far... Georges St. Pierre came out dominating with his wrestling abilities, but Karo Parisyan showed that he could hold his own by countering St. Pierre's wrestling, with his Judo & Submission skills... Still, Parisyan couldn't lock anything on, and St. Pierre was able to escape everything, and just power out of everything that Parisyan threw at him... Once the second round started, it was all over for Parisyan, as GSP was able to ground & pound him for the rest of the 3 round fight... Pretty fun fight to watch, but it would have been nice to see someone finish the fight... Still, GSP deservedly won the unanimous decision...
