Kunitskaya threw a front kick, Cyborg blasted her with an overhand right, Kunitskaya looked like she was rocked, and then she magically took down Cyborg in the center of the cage, but Cyborg was able to quickly work her way back to her feet, and Kunitskaya took her back on the way up. Cyborg made it to the fence, peeled Kunitskaya off of her, and Kunitskaya continued some heavy clinching, smothering Cyborg against the fence. They traded some decent knees from the clinch, and then Kunitskaya dropped down for another takedown attempt 2 minutes into the round, but Cyborg was able to stuff her shot this time. Cyborg broke out of the clinch by landing a big knee to the body, Kunitskaya backed up, Cyborg unloaded with some big punches, she dropped Kunitskaya, threw a soccer kick to the body, Kunitskaya continued to try to find a desperate takedown, and Cyborg continued to beat the shit out of her with big punches & front kicks. She dropped Kunitskaya with 2 minutes left in the round, she unloaded with some big punches while Kunitskaya curled up against the fence, and the referee was forced to stop the fight. Kunitskaya put up a hell of a fight for 3 minutes here, but in the end, Cyborg destroyed her. Cyborg is a fucking monster, and I don't really see many people having a chance against her at featherweight.

These girls both threw some big punches & kicks early in the first round, and it looked like Holm had the clear strength advantage, which is somewhat shocking. I'm 80% expecting to see an anti-doping violation pop up after this fight. Holly Holm looks like a mountain, at a weightclass above where she normally fights, and Cyborg looks somewhat soft compared to what I'm used to seeing with her. That entire round was all about Holm outworking Cyborg, bouncing around a lot, yelling a lot, and hitting her a lot, while Cyborg was waiting to land that perfect counter, which never happened. Round one goes to Holm.
The second round was more of the same, with both girls throwing some big shots, but for the most part, it was a pretty competitive fight. So far, I'm leaning in favor of Holm, but it looks like most other people online are leaning in favor of Cyborg (who I WANTED to win), so I'm not sure what to think at this point. I feel like if this fight goes the distance, it could be a split-decision or something. I have no idea what to think so far, other than Holly Holm looks huge, compared to the Champion, who looks huge compared to everyone else.
The third round was more of the same, with both girls landing some big shots, and it was a hard round to score, until Cyborg unloaded on Holm in the final seconds of the round, resulting in a clear round in the bank for Cyborg. I guess I'm going to trust everyone else online, and assume Cyborg is running away with this fight. Holm is definitely keeping it more competitive than I think most people would have predicted though. The fourth round was more of the same. I'm going to assume at this point that Cyborg is going to walk away with this decision, because I don't see either fighter getting a finish here, but Holm isn't quite doing enough to pull off an upset against the current Champion.
Cyborg continued to beat up Holm in the final round, but Holm blasted Cyborg with some big shots with a minute left, that seemed to rock the shit out of Cyborg, which allowed Holm to press her against the fence, but instead of going for the finish, she just went for a takedown instead, which didn't work at all. Cyborg broke out of the clinch with a series of knees, and we're going to a decision. That was a solid competitive fight, but yeah, Cyborg should still be the Champion after tonight. All 3 judges agreed, giving Cyborg the unanimous decision victory.

Evinger threw a few strikes, Cyborg dropped her with a punch, Evinger stood up, and they continued to trade some sloppy looking strikes. Evinger clinched 30 seconds into the round, after eating some heavy punches from Cyborg. Cyborg sort of took down Evinger, but she let her stand back up immediately. Cyborg opened up with some violent combinations, and Evinger just kind of jogged around, trying to figure out a new strategy, because "getting punched a lot" isn't working out very well for her. Cyborg blasted her with some more shots, and then Evinger shot for a takedown 2 minutes into the round, pressing Cyborg against the fence. She took down Cyborg halfway through the round, but wasn't able to hold her down for long. They continued to clinch, and Evinger took down Cyborg again, and then they stood up, traded a few strikes, and apparently Evinger poked Cyborg in the eye? Cyborg took a while to recover, clearly trying to get her second wind. When the fight started back up, Cyborg threw a few light strikes to test the distance, and then she rushed forward, but Evinger clinched, and tried to get her back under control. They traded a few more random sloppy strikes, and Evinger was doing a good job moving her head a lot, but Cyborg still looks like she's in control of this fight. Round one goes to Cyborg, but Evinger is hanging in there and making this an interesting fight.
Cyborg started the second round by working some sharp jabs, and Evinger looked like she was having trouble getting inside Cyborg's range. Evinger ate some big shots, and then shot for a takedown, but Cyborg stuffed the shot, hit her with a knee to the body, and they reset still on their feet. Cyborg went in for the kill halfway through the round, throwing some big punches & kicks, but Evinger kept her distance, clearly hoping Cyborg would eventually gas out. Evinger pumped her jab a little bit, but Cyborg is still clearly in control of this fight. Cyborg was throwing power shots at a steady pace throughout the round, but she seems like she COULD be slowing down just a little bit going into the third round.
Cyborg blasted Evinger with a huge punch that rocked her, followed it up with a head kick, and nearly finished the fight inside the first minute of the third round. She then knocked down Evinger, blasted her with some heavy leg kicks on the ground, and then told her to stand back up. Cyborg continued to chip away at Evinger, she blasted her with some big shots, she pinned her against the fence for some clinching, she dropped her with a huge knee to the face, and Evinger went down and waved off the fight. Tonya Evinger is fucking tough, but congrats to Cyborg for FINALLY becoming a long overdue UFC Featherweight Champion.

Cyborg moved in and quickly clinched to start this fight, pressing Lansberg up against the fence. Cyborg landed some short knees to the body inside the clinch. Cyborg finally broke out of the clinch 2 minutes into the round, she threw some heavy punches, and then they clinched again. The referee reset them in the center of the cage with 2 minutes left in the round. They clinched again, Cyborg whipped her around, and pressed her against the fence again. Cyborg slammed her with a tight body lock with 90 seconds left in the round, and immediately moved to full mount. Cyborg landed some heavy shots from above, and Lansberg did a good job wrapping her up long enough to get back to her feet. Cyborg unloaded with some heavy punches, she landed a massive knee to the body, and they clinched again. Lansberg didn't really show any offense in that round, but she made it to the second round, which is more than most girls can say when they're fighting Cyborg. That was probably a 10-8 round for Cyborg.
Cyborg unloaded at the start of the second round with some heavy punches and a massive kick to the body, but Lansberg continued to survive. Lanbserg then took control of the clinch, pressing Cyborg against the fence. That didn't last long, as Cyborg took control and whipped her to the ground, landing in side control this time. Cyborg tried to pass, but Lansberg worked a very loose guard to kick Cyborg off of her. Cyborg slaughtered her, busting up Lansberg's face turning her nose into a faucet. The fight was eventually stopped around the halfway point of the second round. Lansberg is tough as hell, but she really showed zero offense in this fight, so I still have no idea how good she is. I would have to see her fight an actual human before really judging her skill level. As usualy though, Cyborg proves once again that she's the baddest chick on the planet. Can we please put her back in Invicta though? I don't want to see her fight at 140 anymore, unless it's a huge superfight against someone that's already a star at 135.

Meh... That was an ugly fight. Smith threw a few punches, but for the most part, she just kind of stood there while Cyborg beat her up, eventually knocking her down. Cyborg then punched Smith on the ground a lot, Smith sort of flopped around, clearly a little confused about where she was, and the referee stopped the fight. It's cool to see Cyborg in the UFC finally, but I was really hoping Smith would be able to make this more of a fight. To be honest, I still don't know if Cyborg can make 135 for a title shot, and if she does, I think Miesha Tate might actually have a decent shot at beating her with her wrestling. But yeah, this fight didn't last long, so congrats to Cyborg for winning her UFC debut against a tough chick in Leslie Smith.

Well... That was interesting... Daria made her Invicta debut here, with a title shot, against the most dangerous woman in the world. Daria spent the entire first round struggling for a takedown, grabbing Cyborg's leg, and whipping her to the ground a couple of times, sort of, but Cyborg showed some amazing takedown defense, as she beat the shit out of Daria, all while hopping around on one leg. Daria put up a decent fight, and showed some solid evasive maneuvers, but once Cyborg was able to get some distance, she unloaded on Daria, and nearly knocked her unconscious with brutality, eventually forcing Daria to tapout due to brutal strikes on the ground. They announced the win as a knockout, but I saw Daria still awake, tapping like mad. So either way, whether it was a submission due to strikes, or a knockout, Cyborg once again proves that she's scary as fuck. I really wanted to see some of Daria's ground game, but she simply couldn't get Cyborg to the ground for more than a second at a time. Who is left for Cyborg? I guess at this point, I think Julia Budd is the only other woman at 145 that might actually deserve a title shot, but as far as I know, she's still signed to Bellator, so...?

Well... What did you expect to happen? Van Duin tried to clinch with Cyborg, hoping to get the fight to the ground, and Cyborg beat the living shit out of Van Duin with punches, and brutality, leaving Van Duin clumped up on the ground, and Cyborg still "more or less" undefeated, considering she hasn't lost a fight in 10+ years, since her debut fight. I can't honestly say I have any interest in watching her fight again. There is nobody left at 145 AT ALL, and I have a hard time believing she'll be able to drop down to 135 to fight Ronda Rousey, so... I've heard rumos that Miesha Tate wants to fight her at a catch weight of 140, so that could be interesting I guess, but Cyborg would destroy Tate, so...

Well, that was pretty much what I would expect form a Cyborg fight. She attacked like a rabid animal, she rocked Tweet with a huge punch, knocking her to the ground, she pounced on her, beat the shit out of her, left her a bloody mess, and after referee Herb Dean gave Tweet a few extra seconds to try to make a comeback, it was clear that Cyborg is just on another level.

This fight pretty much went down as expected. Cris Cyborg was a beast, it started out pretty even, but eventually, she just completely overpowered Coenen, taking her down at will, slamming her with a suplex here and a big slam there. Cyborg's striking looked like gold, and she tore Coenen to shreds, until eventually the referee had seen enough near the end of the fourth round. Awesome fight, but as usual, we're left wondering if anybody will ever be able to properly handle Cyborg.

Watching Cyborg fight, really is like watching a grown man beat the fuck out of a small woman or something. Nobody can hang with Cyborg at all. Julia Budd is the only fight left in the division that would still be interesting for her. So... Let's see that fight next, eh? As far as THIS fight is concerned, Cyborg came out, smashed Muxlow with punches, elbows, knees, brutality, finishing her in 3:46 of the first round. I don't think anyone was surprised by the results of this fight. Why was Muxlow's name even in the hat for people to fight Cyborg?

This was a massacre, with Cyborg attacking Yamanaka in brutal fashion, and finishing her in less than 20 seconds, with a series of fast & hard punches, crushing Yamanaka's face. The only downside, is that this fight was turned into a No Contest, due to Cyborg failing a steroid drug test, and then her title was stripped. So... That's a damned shame, but... She's pretty badass, and it's not like she wouldn't have crushed Yamanaka without the steroids anyway, so I'm going to go ahead and give the victory points to Cyborg anyway.

Really? We're setting up Jan Finney with a title shot against Cyborg? That's a little ridiculous. Cyborg basically just slaughtered her in this fight, she came out swinging, beat the FUCK out of Finney, nearly finishing her a couple of minutes into the first round. Really, the fight probably could have been stopped at any point, but for some reason, it was like the referee was enjoying watching Finney get dominated. The referee ended up taking away a point from Cyborg in the first round, for punching Finney repeatedly in the back of the head. Did it matter? Nope... They came back out, and again, Cyborg continued to slaughter her for the rest of the first round. The second round started, and Finney came out swinging violently, but Cyborg just stepped to the side, and then continued to beat the crap out of Finney, putting her on her knees, while Cyborg launched bombs at her head. Finney stood back up, Cyborg got her in the clinch, punched the shit out of her again, and then launched a giant knee to the stomach of Finney, putting her down for the count. Another impressive victory for Cris Cyborg.

This fight was a scrap! Both girls have really sharp striking skills, and they both beat the hell out of each other, but for the most part, this was Cyborg's fight to lose, and she obviously was not willing to lose. She beat the crap out of Coenen in the first round, getting her to the ground, and going old school Tito Ortiz on her. The second round started, Cyborg was throwing reckless punches, and knocked Coenen on her ass, so she followed her to the ground, and again, beat the crap out of her for the entire round. Coenen tried her damndest to get the fight to the ground in the third round, but she failed with her takedowns, and Cyborg just beat her up on the feet, and then eventually threw her to the ground, bullied her for the duration of the round, and a little past the halfway mark in the third round, Cyborg finished the fight with some additional brutal punches. I really have a hard time believing that anybody will ever be able to finish Cyborg.

This was one of the wildest fights I've ever seen. Cyborg pretty much destroyed Carano in this fight, almost ripping her leg off, almost securing a few chokes, as well as just battering her face in brutal fashion. Carano did a great job too though, showing some really good striking, beating up Cyborg more than I've ever seen anyone else capable of, and Carano also did a good job with her wrestling, ending up on top more often than not, when the fight went to the ground. In the end though, Cyborg was too much for Carano, and at the very end of the first round, Cyborg finished the fight by taking her down from the clinch, she went for an americana arm lock, Carano powered out of it, and then Cyborg bashed her face in with some of the most brutal ground & pound I've ever seen. This was a HUGE win for Cyborg, and it definitely proves that she's the #1 female fighter in the world right now.

This felt like a pretty bad mismatch... but then again, I guess all of Cyborg's fights feel that way. She basically threw Akano around like a ragdoll, including a brilliant suplex in the first round. Cyborg also (obviously) destroyed her with her striking as well. Cris Cyborg is fucking scary. The second round was more of the same, with Akano getting slaughtered by Cyborg for another 3 minutes. The third round was still more of the same, but this time, Cyborg slaughtered Akano badly enough in the first 35 seconds, that the referee was forced to stop the fight. Another impressive victory by Cyborg, against a much smaller opponent in Akano.

Cyborg is hands down the scarriest female fighter on the planet. And I don't JUST mean "most highly skilled", I'm talking about, if you met her in a dark alley, she would fucking kill you, and steal your shoes. She came out swinging on Takahashi, beat the fuck out of her for pretty much the entire fight, when the fight went to the ground, they were pitting their grappling skills against each other, and Cyborg's power just completely overwhelmed Takahashi. Even though this fight went to a decision, it was VERY one-sided, and the only thing in the world that makes sense right now, is pitting Cyborg vs. Gina Carano.

Baszler started this fight going for a toe hold, so that was a pretty slick submission attempt, but Cyborg was able to power out of it, and then from that point forward, Cyborg basically just smashed Baszler for the next 5 minutes or so, finishing her with brutal punches & knees at the end of the second round... sort of... She knocked Baszler down, it LOOKED like it was over, so Cyborg started celebrating, even climbing out of the cage like a gorilla, and thanking God, and all of that stuff, and the referee kept yelling at her "IT'S NOT OVER! FIGHT! DO YOU WANT TO FIGHT? FIGHT!" So once Cyborg realized what was going on, and Baszler had about 30 seconds or so to recover, Cyborg attacked her again, Baszler tried to take her to the ground, which she did by pulling guard, but it didn't take much longer for Cyborg to officially finish her with brutal strikes. This was a noteworthy win for Cyborg, and a scary warning for Gina Carano.
